Festival General Director Nigel Redden announced today the program for the 41st annual Spoleto Festival USA, taking place May 26 through June 11, 2017, in Charleston, South Carolina. "On the heels of a hugely exciting 40th season, this year's Festival promises to build on that momentum," says Redden. Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, today announced the line-up for the Festival, which runs from July 13-31, 2016. Artists and ensembles from seven countries, many of them making their Lincoln Center Festival debuts, will gather for the festival, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, and which continues its mission of presenting the finest classical and contemporary arts from around the world. An array of 49 dance, music, and theater performances will animate seven venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus.

A bright and bold poster designed by Italian artist Ugo Nespolo was unveiled by General Director Nigel Redden as the official 2015 Spoleto Festival USA poster today. Nespolo is the set and costume designer for Spoleto Festival USA's production of Francesco Cavalli's opera Veremonda l'amazzone di Aragona, which will have its American premiere-and first performances in over 350 years-at this year's Festival, running May 22 through June 7 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, today announced the line-up for the 20th edition of the Festival, which runs from July 6 through August 2, 2015. The Festival will unfold in six venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. Held in Charleston, South Carolina, the Festival includes the world premiere of the opera Paradise Interrupted composed by Huang Ruo and designed and directed by visual artist Jennifer Wen Ma, the American premiere and first performances in over 350 years of Francesco Cavalli's baroque opera Veremonda, l'amazzone di Aragona, and the first US performances of a new production of Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare's Globe directed by the company's Artistic Director Dominic Dromgoole and Tim Hoare.

Nigel Redden, director of Lincoln Center Festival today announced the 2014 Festival's line-up, which runs from July 7 through August 16, 2014, with performances by artists and ensembles from 11 countries unfolding in six venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. These productions join the previously-announced Lincoln Center Festival and Park Avenue Armory co-presentation of Mieczyslaw Weinberg's opera, The Passenger, performed by Houston Grand Opera, directed by David Pountney, and conducted by Patrick Summers.

Held in Charleston, South Carolina the festival includes American premieres of the opera Facing Goya by Michael Nyman, the play My Cousin Rachel presented by Dublin's Gate Theatre company, and a new staging of John Adams' opera El Niño directed by John La Bouchardière. The Festival will also present the opera directorial debut of Garry Hynes, the first woman to win a Tony Award for directing a play on Broadway, in a production of Leoš Janá?ek's Kát'a Kabanová. Nigel Redden, director of the Lincoln Center Festival, and Rebecca Robertson, President and Executive Producer, Park Avenue Armory, today announced that the two organizations will co-present The Passenger, Mieczyslaw Weinberg's uncompromising 1968 opera about the Holocaust, performed by Houston Grand Opera and directed by David Pountney, in its New York premiere performances July 10, 12 and 13 at Lincoln Center Festival 2014. Pountney's production will have its U.S. premiere on January 18, 2014 at Houston Grand Opera.

MONKEY: JOURNEY TO THE WEST, an extraordinary music-theater collaboration based on the classic Chinese folktale "Journey to the West" from 1592, will open the 2013 Lincoln Center Festival, playing 27 performances throughout the festival from July 6 - 28 in the David H. Koch Theater. MONKEY: JOURNEY TO THE WEST is conceived and directed by internationally renowned opera and film director Chen Shi-Zheng, with music by Damon Albarn, lead singer of Blur, and design and animation by award-winning artistJamie Hewlett, who, with Albarn, created the virtual band Gorillaz.
