Led by Artistic Director Julian Wiles, Charleston Stage will present a repertoire of musicals and family-friendly entertainment at the historic Dock Street Theatre in downtown Charleston during the fall and winter season.

9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL, directed by MarybetH Clark, opens August 30. The musical comedy is an adaptation of the 1980 movie that starred Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as three fed-up office workers who take revenge on their chauvinistic boss. The production features a Tony-award nominated score by Dolly Parton. 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL will run through September 21.

Based on a classic book by children's author Judy Blume, TALES OF A FOURTH GRADE NOTHING will play for one weekend only September 21 and 22. Adapted for the stage by Bruce Mason, the play focuses on a boy's frustration with his cute, but annoying little brother's dreadful behavior. This children's theatre production is suitable for family audiences.

Julian Wiles will direct SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE FINAL ADVENTURE, opening October 18. Playwright Steven Dietz adapted the drama from an original script co-authored by William Gillette and Arthur Conan Doyle in 1899. The plot concerns the famous detective's return from retirement to take on one last case. The production closes November 3.

ANNIE ushers in the holiday season, running December 6-22. Directed by MarybetH Clark, the perennial crowd-pleaser follows the adventures of an optimistic orphan who outwits criminals and a mean orphanage caretaker during the Depression. The holiday-themed perennial favorite won a Tony Award for Best Musical.
